Every app you write in. DuoTyping reads and corrects text wherever your cursor is, so there is nothing to integrate — mail, Slack, Notes, Notion, Docs, your editor, your terminal, any browser text field.

Not yet. DuoTyping is a desktop app, because reading the field you're focused on across every app is something only a desktop app can do. Mobile and web are on the list, and the same rule holds there: detection stays on your device.

An ordinary laptop or desktop. The bundled model is small and tuned to stay instant on everyday machines rather than needing high-end hardware — it's a native app that idles at well under 1% CPU. Current system requirements are listed on the download page.

No — it never rewrites silently. DuoTyping detects grammar, tone and structure issues and shows you the fix; accepting is always one keypress you choose to make. Heavier paraphrasing is a separate, opt-in step using your own Cloud AI key.

That's the failure mode we designed against. Suggestions fix grammar, run-ons and tone mismatches — they don't rewrite your word choices for you. Paraphrasing only happens if you explicitly ask for it.

Detection runs locally by default with zero network entitlement at the sandbox level — your text can't leave your device even in principle, not because of a setting you could get wrong. Cloud AI is opt-in, uses your own API key, and nothing is stored after the response or used for training.

So it can read and correct the field you're focused on anywhere on the system, without a plugin per app. DuoTyping only ever reads the field you're actively typing in — never your screen at large.
